2007 OPEN M INVITATIONAL GOLF EVENT
The OPEN M Invitational golf outing event is solely to benefit our OPEN M
Free Clinic.
OPEN M operates the only free medical clinic that serves the entire Akron metropolitan area
and provides free prescription medicine to our neediest patients. Our Free Clinic is located
within the OPEN M Neighborhood Center and held in the Arthur Kelly Health and Caring
Center. We offer primary health care by licensed professionals which consists of volunteer
physicians, nurse practitioners, nurses, pharmacists, dentists, optometrists, podiatrists, and
other specialists who serves those with no health insurance, which is their primary and only
health care facility. Patients are provided medical treatment, patient education, pastoral care,
and prescription medication totaling over 1 million dollars all free of charge.
This event helps to raise awareness of our free clinic in the medical community, but also assists
us in raising operating income.
